Ronnie Humphrey

Ronnie Humphrey, 78 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Ronnie was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on September 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Rex Humphrey and Ruby Rule Humphrey.  He proudly served our country in the United States Navy.  Before retiring, Ronnie worked as a superintendent at Westlake.  He was a pilot and huge UK basketball fan.  Ronnie will be remembered as the "keeper" of family memories, the one who was always taking pictures and videos.  He loved spending time with his family and supporting his grandchildren at all of their events.    

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Henson Humphrey; two daughters, Shannon Boyd (Russell) of Murray, KY and Ginger Hunt (fiancé, Trey Williams) of Benton, KY; two brothers, Rexie Humphrey and Michael Humphrey; sister, Diane Butler; four grandchildren, Arin Proctor (Nicky), Emily Bailey (Codie), Alex Boyd, Savannah Hunt; two great-grandchildren, Lane Proctor and Ledger Bailey.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Humphrey, Carlis Humphrey, Kenny Humphrey and Jo Neale Humphrey; sister, Donna Thurmond; and his parents.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on Sunday, April at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens located at Hwy U.S. 641 North Benton, Kentucky 42025. 

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
