Sandra Phelps

Sandra Kay Phelps, 68 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Sandra was born in Paducah, Kentucky on June 21, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Louis Darnall and Joy Burkeen Darnall.  She was a registered nurse and assistant director of nursing at Calvert City Nursing & Rehab.  Sandra enjoyed sewing, drawing, gardening, and spending time with her grandkids.  She was a member of Altona Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her two sons, Jason Phelps (Erica) and Lucas Phelps (Melanie) all of Gilbertsville, KY; one brother, Milton Darnall (Ella) of Sharpe, KY; three grandchildren, Ryan Phelps, Calvin Webster and Eleanor Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Jess Burkeen and Leona Dismore.
