Shelia Green

Shelia Hope Cornwell Green, age 76, of Benton passed away on Sunday, May 24,2026 at Lakeway Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Shelia was born in Murray on November 5, 1949 to the late Dan Travis Cornwell and the late Mary Walker Cornwell. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Headstart teacher. Shelia loved shopping and was always excited to show off what new purchases she had made online. Her grandchildren brought her tremendous joy; Shelia was always happiest when spending any time she could with them

Shelia is survived by two sons, Danny Hampton (Tracie) of Ledbetter and Richard Hampton (LaTina); one daughter, Elizabeth Hampton Kelly; two brothers, Rusty Cornwell and Jewel Cornwell; two grandchildren, Kyle Hampton and Destiny Rogers; and three great grandchildren, Avery Rogers, Brooklynn Rogers, and London Pittman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Riley "RJ" Hampton, Jr.; her second husband, Mark Steven Green; five brothers, Travis Cornwell, Barry Cornwell, Chris Cornwell, Joe Cornwell, and Dan David Cornwell; and four sisters, Eva Peacock, Patricia A. Cornwell, Mary Jane Cornwell Rudd, and Jenny Cornwell.
