Sylvia Jean Doom

Sylvia Doom, 73 of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born Monday, July 13, 1953 in Union City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Lane and the late Millie Kemp Lane. Silvia enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers. She loved her family and doted over her great grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Rickie Doom; her son, Rozzy Glisson (Gina) of Alton, IL;  brother, Larry Lane (Edith) of Benton, KY; sister, Peggy Barnhart (Alberto) of Bartow, FL; grandchildren, Cody Glisson, Bryce Glisson, Veda Glisson, Noah Glisson, Trenton, Logan Glisson, and Kaden Glisson; great grandchildren, Haven Glisson and Carter Glisson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Lane and grandson, Kane Glisson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Downs officiating.

Burial to follow in Wallace Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home, located et 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
