Skyler Holsapple

Skyler Holsapple, 16 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Skyler was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 11, 2008.  He was the son of Kevin Holsapple and Jodi Treas Holsapple.  Skyler worked alongside his dad at Pinnacle Inc. and mowed yards in the community.  Whether it was on the soccer field, strumming his electric guitar or drawing, Skyler poured passion into his hobbies.  He was an artist, an athlete, and a musician but above all, a loyal friend.  Skyler enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially game night at the Hack's household.  His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of many but his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched with kindness, strength and love.  Skyler was a member of First Missionary Baptist and was a junior at Marshall County High School.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Jodi Holsapple; sister, Hanna Holsapple; his maternal grandmother, gran Jan Boyd, all of Benton, KY; paternal grandfather, Richard Holsapple of Cadiz, KY; uncle, Mike Treas of Chattanoga, TN, David Barker (Ruthie) of Benton, KY; aunts, Tina Neal of Smyrna, TN and Sherry Darnall of Benton, KY; many cousins and girlfriend, Emma Hack, of Benton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Darrell Treas; paternal grandmother, Shirley Holsapple; great-grandparents, Pip & Charlene Johnson, Howard & Olamae Treas, Glen & Dorothy Holsapple, Charles & Quida Mae Jones.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. K Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Soldier Creek Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a non-profit mental health awareness organization set up in Skyler's name: Sky's Not the Limit, 586 Jack Treas Rd, Benton, KY 42025.
