Teddy S. Kinsey

Teddy S. Kinsey, 80 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born Saturday, September 1, 1945 in Paducah, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Paul Kinsey and the late Layne Shelby Kinsey.

He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Benton. Teddy was a self made entrepreneur, he was the owner and operator of Parkway Chrysler in Benton for 34 years, he was on many boards throughout his career, Marshall County Hospital, Bank of Marshall County and Benton Electric, just to name a few. He was involved in several community organizations and was always eager to lend a helping hand when needed.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Barbara Sue (Dowdy) Kinsey; son, Kevin Kinsey (Jessica) of Benton, KY; daughter, Tish Kinsey of Benton, KY;  sisters, Paula Austin (Jerry) of Benton, KY and Patty Cothran of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Annie Wiles (Jarrett), Isaac Kinsey and Carter Gray and great grandchild, Rhett Wiles; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Nicky Kinsey.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Benton with Bro. Don Wilson officiating.

Burial to follow at Benton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church located at 910 Main Street Benton, KY 42025.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Marshall County Exceptional Center 198 Old Symsonia Road Benton, KY 42025 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. or to the Benton First Baptist Church Youth Group or Children's Ministry.
