Timothy Mark Dillon

Timothy Mark Dillon, 70 of Benton, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at his home.

Born Thursday, June 21, 1956, in Martin, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Carter Dillon and Iva Mae Roberts Court. Tim was a dedicated fishing guide for over 19 years. On top of fishing, he loved to hunt, even if that meant searching for Bigfoot. He was a bass player in his own garage band, so he could strum a tune and admire his favorite motorcycle at the same time. Tim was considered a craftsman as he built his own house without any physical blueprints. He will be dearly missed.


He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gale Ann Garbark Dillon; two sons, Graham Mark Dillon (Nicole) of South Carolina and Eric Robert Sea (Jessica) of Missouri; daughter, Hannah Mae James (Mel) of North Carolina; three brothers, William C. Dillon, Jr. of Virginia, Donald J. Witte, Jr. (Maureen) of Illinois, and Steven James Witte of Kentucky; two sisters, Cathy Lynn Miller of NC and Janet Marie Colgan (John) of KY; 15 grandchildren, Angela Lynn Fuscone, Merric Mark Dillon, Trini Kay Dillon, Blake Anthony Dillon, Ellie Dillon, Talyn Dillon, Cashton Dillon, Elizabeth Blaine Kelly, Angela Marie Kelly, Isabel Morae Sea, Austin Jeremiah Sea, Taylor Avery James, Olivia Madison James, Isabella Grace James, and Nikolai Aliev; as well as nine great grandchildren, Lena, Beau, Laila, Theea, Eli, Evelynn, Jack, Elle, and Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
