Virgil E. Enochs

Virgil E. Enochs, 92 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Marshall Co. Hospital  E. R. in Benton, Kentucky.

Born Saturday, July 15, 1933 in Green County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Melvin Enochs and the late Katherine Goodman Enochs. Virgil was a retired Machinist for Borgwerner in Indiana. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post  #236 in Calvert City, KY.

Surviving are sons; Mark Enochs of Gilbertsville, KY and Christopher Enochs of Davenport, IA; daughter, Joyce Walls of Yulee, FL; sisters, Diane Chambers of Linton, IN, Dorothy Mayfield of Linton, IN and Debbie Newell of Bucknell, IN; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife of 56 years; Dellis Jackson Enochs; daughter, Caroline Bell; brothers, Carl Enochs, Mervin Enochs and Jimmy Enochs; sisters, Darlene Spencer and Donna Enochs; and grandsons; Jeremiah Enochs and Joshua Enochs.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.

A graveside service will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Linton, IN at a later date.
