She took pride in caring for others, and was well loved by coworkers and patients alike.

She was an active and beloved member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church. Her faith was, and will continue to be, a source of comfort for all those who encountered it. It was steadfast, unwavering, and a defining feature of who she was and will continue to be in the hearts of those lucky enough to have worshiped with and known her. She was a strong prayer warrior and never hesitated to lift others up when they were on her mind or in her heart.

Virginia was gregarious and strong and lived a life full of family, friends, and more laughter than anyone could hope for. She had a zest for life that could hardly be denied. From her flamboyant clothing and jewelry to her over the top crafts and her willingness to talk to anyone, she lived out loud in the most wonderful of ways. When she did anything she did it fiercely and with conviction. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends and the community she created for herself and others.

She was heavily involved in Special Olympics of Kentucky through her granddaughter and best friend, Kali, whom she loved dearly and was rarely seen without.
