William "Bill" Young

William "Bill" Young, 91, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Marshall County Hospital.

He was born on Thursday, November 26, 1934 in Martin, TN to the late Travis and Georgia (Chapman) Young.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army where served in the Vietnam Era. After 22 years of service, he retired with the rank of Master Seargent.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Alan Young (Sharon) of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Nathan Young (Sarah), Karen Young (Jason), Tessa Young (Ian); and great grandchildren, Mason Young, Isabella Sumner, Jade O'Rourke, and Oliver O'Rourke.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ruth (Taylor) Young; his parents; son, Tony Young; daughters, Sheila Young and Denise Young; great granddaughter, Amber Sumner; brothers, James Young, Buford "Bud" Young, George "Tom" Young; and sister, Bertha Young,

A visitation will be from 1:00PM until 2:30PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at McNatt Cemetery with Military Honors.
