Amy Sue Blasingim, 84, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home.

Amy was born in Metropolis, Illinois, on April 4, 1941, to the late Lester Hensler and Printha Davis Hensler. She was raised in Paducah, Kentucky, where she spent most of her life. During her time there, Amy dedicated many years to working at the Easterseals West Kentucky Center,

where she formed many great friendships during her time there.

Amy had a gentle heart and a soft spot for dogs. She also became very fond of and loved watching John Cena at every opportunity she could, and always loved a good steak dinner.

As a woman of faith, Amy was a devoted Christian and member of Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mayfield. She loved her church and was deeply grateful for the love and friendships she found within her church family.

She is survived by one sister, Carole Varela (John) of McLean, Virginia; several nephews; and her dear friend, Susan Hardison of Benton.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Mayer; and her parents, Lester Hensler and Printha Davis Hensler.
