Austin Wade Johnson

Austin Wade Johnson, 43, of Calvert City, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 in Marshall County.

He was born on July 28, 1982, in Paducah, Kentucky, to his parents, Kenneth Wade and Carol Lee (Buckner) Johnson. Austin was raised in Lyon County until his family moved to Calvert City when he was in kindergarten. He graduated from Marshall County High School in 2000, where he was a member of the golf team. Austin went on to work with Laborers Local 1214, most recently contributing to the dam’s new lock project. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by his brother, Seth Allen (Renay) Johnson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; paternal grandmother, Emma Holt Johnson of Kuttawa.
Austin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Betty Buckner; and paternal grandfather, Walter Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Short officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
