Brad Edward Darnell, 57, of Possum Trot, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Brad was born on February 17, 1969, in Paducah, Kentucky. He was a graduate of Marshall County High School and went on to build a life defined by creativity, passion, and connection. He was the owner of Loudmouth Photography, where his artistic eye and unique perspective left a lasting impression on all who knew his work. He also served as a podcast producer for the WRBN Podcast, combining his love of music and storytelling alongside his favorite artist.

Brad was known for his quick wit, intelligence, and fierce loyalty. He had encyclopedic knowledge of rock and roll music and was always ready with a story, a laugh, or honest feedback when needed most. Driven, organized, and endlessly creative, he approached life with energy and authenticity. One of his favorite sayings, and a reflection of how he lived his life, was: “You gotta live like you’re on vacation.” He found his greatest joy in spending time with his wife, especially on road trips to the beach—moments filled with laughter, music, and shared adventure.

Brad will be remembered for his humor, his honesty, his creativity, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories, music, and memories he leaves behind.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Tara Lea Darnell; his profoundly devoted dog, Joey; his mother, Linda Vasseur Woodward; his nephew, James "Daniel" McCarty; his beloved cat, Sophie Grace; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; his best friend, Kevin Bowman (Marilyn), and their children, Austin Jackson, Amanda Bowman, and Elizabeth Martinez, who were cherished like family.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Darnell; his grandparents, Chester and Evelyn Darnell, and Roy Vasseur and Lexie Donohoo Vasseur; his niece, Lexie McCarty; and his mother- in-law and father-in-law, Rose Mary Severs and David Lee Severs.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Baptist Health Paducah Foundation, Attn: Your Fight Cancer Fund, 2501 Kentucky Ave., Paducah, KY 42003.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Brad at a later date. Updated service date and times will be posted once they have been scheduled.
