Carol Terry, 83, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Marshall County Hospital in Benton.
Carol was born to the late Edgar Keen and Zelma Kit Deville on May 6, 1943, in Orofino, Idaho. When Carol was old enough to leave home, her independent spirit led her to travel. She traveled Australia and New Zealand, and then made England her home for many years. While in England, she started an electronics business that she ran with her long-time companion until his passing.
Carol enjoyed life immensely and made sure to live it to the fullest. Her cheerful disposition made her delightful company, ensuring that everyone who visited her enjoyed laughter and left with a smile. She had a passion for cross-stitch and displayed remarkable skill in her craft. She was also an avid reader, entangling herself in a book with her companion, her dog Annie at her side.
Carol is survived by two sisters, Joyce Keen of Benton, Kentucky, and Robin Spickler (Dennis) of Idaho; one brother, Gary Keen of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Graves; her parents, Edgar Keen and Zelma Kit Deville; and her stepmother, Betty Keen.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to World Missions and Evangelism, 1335 US-68, Benton, KY 42025.
There will be a private memorial gathering held at a later date.
