Dale McKee, 81, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Dale was born to the late Henry "Richard" McKee and Eunice Patterson McKee on October 16, 1943, in Colfax, Illinois. Dale proudly served his country and was a U.S. Army Veteran. After serving in the Army, he went on to serve four more years in the Air Force Reserve. Dale started as a Millwright at the Millwright Local 1412 and was a member of the Millwrights for 44 years, retiring from the Millwright Local 1080/1076.
Dale knew everyone, or at least it seemed so, and if he didn’t know you, he probably knew your family or at least one person you knew. He was friendly and known for his great sense of humor. In later years, Dale had become quite particular about lawn care and enjoyed taking it easy with the country classic pastime of front porch sitting. As an avid car enthusiast, he also enjoyed working on cars. He loved visiting Panama City Beach, Florida, and he and his wife, Priscilla, had become affectionately known as Snowbirds, those who winter in Florida. Dale was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.
Dale is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Priscilla McKee; two daughters, Kristin Dye (Jonathan) of Metropolis, Illinois and Savannah Mason (Jacob) of Brewers, Kentucky; two sons, Rick McKee (Michele) of Newburgh, Indiana and Ronnie McKee of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one brother, William McKee of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one grandson, Aaron McKee of Evansville, Indiana; and three great-grandchildren, Ruby Dye, Lainey Dye and Sparrow Dye all of Metropolis, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Wilma Joyce McKee; and his parents, Henry McKee and Eunice Patterson McKee.
