Dortha Mae "Dot" Mathis, 96, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Dot was born on September 9, 1929, in Murray, Kentucky, to the late David and Hattie Mae Haynes Elkins. She was a member of Pathway Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Michael Mathis (Sonja) of Benton, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded by her husband, Charles P. Mathis; two sons, Rodger Mathis and Mitchell Mathis; three sisters; three brothers; and her parents, David and Hattie Mae Haynes Elkins.
