Ellen Turner, 86, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at her place of residence.
Ellen was born to the late David and Ann Dillon Hanson on April 18, 1939, in Newburgh, New York. She was a physical therapy aide and, after retirement, donated the next fifteen years to volunteering at Lourdes Hospital. She had a giving and tender heart, which was evident in both her volunteer work and her numerous donations to charitable causes. Ellen was outgoing and never met a stranger. She loved working in her flower garden, but had an even greater love for quilting. She was a member of the Gospel Mission Church.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald Lee Turner; two daughters, Mary Ellen Steffens of Wheeling, Illinois, and Laurie Fowler of Benton, Kentucky; one son, David Steffens of Danville, California; one brother, John Hanson of Palm Coast, Florida; and five grandchildren, David Thomas Fowler, Alexandra Marie Fowler, Max Kolbe Dillon Fowler, Cole Steffens, and Cailey Steffens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ann Dillon Hanson.
