Geneiveve Bell, aged 95, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at Southgate Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Born on November 6, 1928, in Symsonia, Kentucky, Geneiveve was a beacon of light in her community. With a career spanning 30 years at Southern Textiles, she wove a tapestry of dedication and hard work, retiring with the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

An active member of Symsonia Baptist Church, she lived her faith and shared love with everyone she met. Geneiveve's passion for life was evident in her love of working outside. She took great pride in mowing her lawn and nurturing her flowers, with red begonias as her cherished favorite.

A true blue UK Basketball fan, she enjoyed cheering on her team. Geneiveve's warm and loving nature made her fondly remembered by her "telephone buddies" and anyone who relished her sweet demeanor. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, like getting her hair done and spending precious moments with her family.

Geneiveve is survived by one son, Marvin Bell of Symsonia; one sister, Sharon Ellington of Hardmoney; one brother, Wyman Freeman of Symsonia; two granddaughters, Mona Davis (Daniel) and Mindy Spraggs (Darren); and two great-granddaughters, Jaycey Spraggs and Kensey Spraggs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, J.C. Bell; one daughter, Tryland Bell; one son, Charles Larry Bell; one great-grandson, Keeton Mathis; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bell.
