Glen Alan Willett, 71, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Glen was a hardworking man who spent most of his career as a skilled diesel mechanic. He believed in honest work and had a strong work ethic, which he also instilled in his children.
Glen was a man of few words, but a big heart full of love for his family. He loved getting home from work, loading his kids into the back of his pickup truck and heading down to the lake to read a western novel as they swam. He continued to share his love for the lake with his grandchildren and spent many quiet afternoons walking his dogs along those shores. Glen found happiness and peace with his wife Cheryl. They traveled, watched their grandkids grow, and shared joy in all the little moments.
Glen will be missed by all those who knew him, but remembered in all the moments cherished by his loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Lynn Henning; four daughters, Samantha Kaye Willett, Christina Marie Trammell, Sarah Frances Cranor, and Makayla Elizabeth Willett; two sons, Daniel Raymond Willett, and Noah Alan Willett; twenty four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lindle Willett and Aurora Frances (Armstrong) Willett; three brothers, Daniel Ray Willett, Robert Lindle Willett, and Stephen Dale Willett. He also leaves behind the extended family of his brothers, including Robert’s wife, Jan, and daughter, Jennifer, and Stephen’s children, Joey, Dakota, and Stephanie.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann.
