Ivin Lee Stroup, 52, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Murray Calloway County Hospital.

 

Ivin was born on September 24, 1972, in Florence, Colorado, to Ivin Jasper Stroup and Etha “Beth” Vincent. Ivin was a hardworking man who spent many years working as a stonemason. Outside of work, Ivan enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He had a passion for collecting rocks, specifically stone tools and other lithic artifacts, as well as quartz stones. He also enjoyed collecting antiques and frequently visited pawn shops to find more items for his collections. Ivin had a big heart that was full of love for animals and people, and he always went out of his way to be generous to others.

 

Ivin is survived by his mother, Etha “Beth” Vincent of Kuttawa; his father, Ivin Jasper Stroup (Tonya) of Gilbertsville; three brothers, Charles Stroup of Idaho, Mike Stroup (Laurie) of Florida, and Jeremiah Stroup (Christy) of Grand Rivers; his aunt, Lenora Clements of Kentucky; and his beloved dog, “Boo”.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Marshall County Humane Society, 6301 US HWY 68 E., Benton, Kentucky, 42025.
