Jackey McLeod, 64, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Jackey was born to the late Johnny McLeod and Jessie Williams McLeod on July 10, 1959 in Benton, Kentucky. He was a 1977 graduate of Marshall County High School. Known for being a hard worker, Jackey raised cattle on his farm throughout most of his life and worked over forty years as a dedicated technician at Pro Equipment Company. He enjoyed hunting and watching sports, specifically Murray State University basketball. More than anything else, he enjoyed cheering on his granddaughter during her softball games and attending all of his grandchildren’s events. He was a very devoted Christian and a member of Miller’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Jackey is survived by his significant other, Sandra Vogle; one son, Johnny McLeod (Nikki) of Murray; two sisters, Barbara Lane (Michael) of Benton and Danita Houston of Murray; two grandchildren, Justin McLeod and Jaylee McLeod; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey McLeod; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Billy Sizemore officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
