Jimmy Wayne Hendrick was born in Mayfield, Kentucky, to James Meredith Hendrick and Ethel Mae (Rose) Hendrick December 31, 1945. Wayne spent most of his childhood in the Brewers community of Marshall County and attended first through eighth grades at Brewers School. He worked in various Hendrick and Rose family businesses while attending grade school. He developed a disciplined work ethic and savvy management skills early in life and delivered grocery orders throughout Brewers on a Sears and Robuck go cart he received for Christmas. He placed orders and stocked shelves at the general store (for his Grandad, Solon Hendrick), assisted the post master with mail sorting and the local contractor with carpentry (both with his Granny Jesse Hendrick). He also worked at the grocery store in Harvey, Kentucky, owned by his mother's parents,  Aubert (Bud) and Sophie Rose. Wayne graduated from South Marshall High School in May 1963 and married the love of his life, Linda Faye (Johnston) June 14, 1963.

Wayne worked at the Benton Cabinet Shop as an apprentice carpenter and painter from 1963 to 1964 until beginning his career in manufacturing later in 1964. Wayne quickly excelled in manufacturing processes and management and filled various executive roles throughout his manufacturing career lasting through early 2025. Wayne led manufacturing system upgrades, supply chain, and new facility design and build projects across the United States and seven other countries. He launched Wayneright Construction in 1995 and contracted small and large-scale projects until 2002.

Wayne served as a deacon at the Union Hill Church of Christ supporting maintenance, coordinating the Lawn Mowing Ministry, and overseeing the benevolence program.
Wayne was a father of three and affectionately became "Peeps" with the birth of his first grandchild. Being a grandfather was the most influential and fulfilling role of his life.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Hendrick of Benton, Kentucky; two daughters, Regina Waynette Roberson (Terry) of Benton and Deborah Linette Austin (Ralph) of Calvert City, Kentucky; one son, Christopher Wayne Hendrick (Brandie) of Benton; one sister, Deborah Fay Hughes of Eddyville, Kentucky; Six grandchildren, Travis Logan Roberson (Whitney), Avery Wayne Darnall (Ashlynn), Christopher Wayne Hendrick, Jr. (Taylor), Mikayla Lynn (Darnall) Coffenberry (Cliff), Kierstin Lynae (Hendrick) Kingery (Evan), Kari Rose Hendrick; five great-grandchildren, William Nelson  Marshall, Lynlee Marie Roberson, Oakley Tate Darnall, Trace Lyndon Roberson, Charlestyn Faye Hendrick.; and several nieces and nephews.
