Ken Odom

Kenneth Roger Odom, age 80 of Benton, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at home.

Ken was born to the late Lauren and Naomi Coleman Odom on May 23, 1942 in Harvey, Illinois. After many years of working in construction and roofing Ken went to work for himself and became a supervisor and contractor overseeing construction projects both locally and out of town. He was known as a laid back person, who enjoyed firing up his grill to have a barbeque with friends and family. He also enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and working in his vegetable garden.

Ken leaves behind; two daughters, Susan Cooper (Joe) of Almo and Kathy Hargrove of Benton; his two sons, Steve Odom and Daniel Odom both of Benton; thirteen grandchildren, Lauren Odom, Samantha Odom, Mitchell Sholar, Ashley Cooper, Whitney Cooper, Madison Odom, Chelsea Odom, Rustin Odom, Aaron Dripp, Katelyn Hargrove, Jasmine Hargrove, Cara Hargrove, and Kirsten Odom; and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Odom and David Odom; two brothers, Jim Odom and Tim Odom, and his parents.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
