Michael “Mike” Schuster, 64, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
Mike was born to the late Paul Schuster and Judith Staffin Schuster on October 31, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan. Mike was a hard worker who loved his job in maintenance working mainly on boilers. If he wasn’t working, he was talking about work. Nicknamed “MacGyver” by his family, he was known for his ingenious knack of being able to work on and fix just about anything. He was a kind and considerate man who always put others before himself. Mike proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He was of the Catholic faith.
Mike is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Shelly Schuster of Benton; three daughters, Stephanie Milner (Roger) of Benton, Crystal Schuster also of Benton, and Danielle Schuster (Cameron Thompson) of Murray, Kentucky; and two brothers, Kenneth Schuster and Jeffrey Schuster (Susan) both of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin James Schuster; one sister, Lynn Renee Bentley; one niece, Katie Bentley; one nephew Anthony McCarty; and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, Kentucky, 42025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, Kentucky, 42025.
Military graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY, 42240.
