Mildred “Millie” Hendrickson, 84, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Mildred was born on October 23, 1940, in Symsonia, Kentucky, to the late Claude “Red” Miller and Juanita Pember Miller. Millie's journey through life was marked by unwavering love, profound faith, and a spirit of generosity that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
After graduating from Symsonia High School, Mildred attended Draughons Business College, where her education and strong work ethic led to a prosperous career as an Office Administrator for Eye Care Associates and Pip Johnson Construction for many years. Mildred loved the Lord, and her faith guided her throughout every chapter of her life. As a cherished member of Church Grove United Methodist Church for over fifty years, Mildred always made an effort to stay active within the church in any way she could.
Throughout her life, Mildred had many hobbies, but one that she truly enjoyed was traveling to new places with her husband, Daniel, and camping in their RV. They loved exploring the natural wonders of God's creation and relishing in the togetherness these experiences brought them. She was also an avid reader who always enjoyed a good book. More than anything else, nothing brought her more happiness than being with her family. She enjoyed taking every opportunity she could not only to be involved in her children’s lives but also her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives, supporting their pursuits and helping celebrate all their achievements and milestones.
Everyone who was blessed to have known Mildred in some way was touched by her kindness and selflessness. She was never one to complain, even in the face of adversity, and her ability to care for others was unparalleled. Her generous heart knew no bounds, and she loved with a truly remarkable depth.
She is survived by her three daughters, Gail Dyke (Johnny) of Benton, Kentucky, Devona Rosa (Rick) of Bushnell, Florida, and Renee Larson (Chris Hunnell) of Winnipeg, Canada; two sisters, Barbara Frizzell of Paducah, Kentucky and Kerry Knight (Steve) of Elkton, Kentucky; her four grandchildren, Amy Bevil (Tony), Melissa Elrod (Dustin), Jared Rosa (Maria), and Lauren Bazzell (Micah); her thirteen great-grandchildren, Meg, Abby, and AJ Bevil, Ty, Karli, and Dax Elrod, Max, Ollie, Keegan, and Ava Rosa, and Jude, Canaan, and Charlee Bazzell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Daniel Hendrickson; and her parents, Claude “Red” Miller and Juanita Pember Miller.
