Myrna Odom, 80, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at her residence.
Myrna was born in Benton, Kentucky on June 8, 1942 to the late John and Josephine Starks Rudd. She was a former member of Fairdealing Church of Christ and later became a member of the Benton Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for many people along with all of her family and friends. Over the years one of the many things that Myrna became known for specifically was her delicious wedding cakes. In between raising her family and baking Myrna also enjoyed tending to her vegetable and floral gardens. More than anything else she loved spending time with all of her family, and she even made sure to keep some love aside for all of her fur babies throughout the years.
Myrna leaves behind; two sons, Terry Odom (Karen) and Todd Odom (Stephanie), both of Benton; two daughters, Connie Knees (Jeff) of Paducah and Jennifer Simon (Eddie) of Henderson; one former son inlaw, Joel Pace; one former daughter inlaw, Julie Baker Odom; eight grandchildren, Tassie Gossum (Joey), Trevor Pace, Justin Odom (Taylor), Will Odom (Lisa), Tanner Simon (Stephanie), Kayla Madden (James), Lonnie Odom, and Kelsey Cordes (Sean); and eleven great grandchildren, Paycen Gossum, Greyson Pace, Ava Pace, Georgia Pace, Emerson Odom, Adeline Odom, Gavin Holder, Harper Simon, Clark Simon, Scarlett Cordes and Levi Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James “Jimmy” Odom; her brother James “Timothy” Rudd, and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, beginning at 5:00 pm at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Brother Mark Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Fairdealing Cemetery.
