Nancy Freeman Lomprey, 86, of Symsonia, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2026, at her place of residence.
Nancy was born to the late Clevus and Zula Copeland Freeman on October 9, 1939, in Benton, Kentucky. She was a caring and selfless woman who seemed to be born to live her life in service to others as a caregiver. It was her nature to take others under her wing and mother them with love and compassion. She loved watching sports, especially University of Kentucky basketball. Whether cheering on her favorite sports teams or shuffling around the house, Nancy always had a shadow in the form of her cat named Deke, who stayed at her side and whom she loved dearly. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Leona Henson of Benton, Kentucky; two step-daughters, Sherry Darnell of Benton and Tina Neal of Tennessee; one step-son, David Barker (Ruthie) of Benton; one grandson, Ewing Henson; and a very special friend, Charlie Barker.
She was preceded in death by one son, Rickey Henson; two brothers, Cleland Freeman, M.D., and Donald Lee Freeman; and her parents, Clevus and Zula Copeland Freeman.
