Rachel S. Rodman, 80, of Eddyville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2025, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Rachel was born to the late Jesse and Frocie Scott McCage on July 28, 1945, in Eddyville. Rachel was a homebody who enjoyed bible study and working in her yard. When she did venture out of her home, she enjoyed taking walks in Noble Park. She was a caring and selfless woman who was known as a guiding light to those who needed her care and kindness.
Rachel is survived by two sons, Jerry Rodman of Lexington, Kentucky, and John Rodman (Gillian Hayden) of Smithland, Kentucky; one sister, Rita Moss (Mike) of Calvert City, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Johnny Rodman, JR., Kayla Sue Rye, Cory Rodman, and Noah Rodman.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Tidwell, Norma Gribble, and Myrtle Saller; three brothers, Mason Dean McCage, Billy Jo McCage, and Robert W. McCage; and her parents, Jesse Floyd and Frocie Scott McCage.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann with Bro. Gary Knuckles officiating. Burial following at Paradise Cemetery in Lyon County, Kentucky.
