Susan Marie Langston, 57, a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2026,  at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Susan was the cherished daughter of Patricia Miller, born on September 19, 1969, in Middletown, Connecticut. She was known for her sass and independence from childhood. Her headstrong personality set the bar as she forged her way through life and served her well. She was a homemaker and loved being on the road as a traveling companion, and although her dear brother affectionately referred to her as ornery, she had a tender heart for all animals, particularly cats.

Her life was rich with the love and companionship of her brother, Robert Harrison, who stood by her side through every joy and challenge. She was a loving aunt to Amoreena (Tim), Rebecca (Josh), and Robert (Pandora) Harrison, Dalton Whyte, and a proud grand-aunt to Kaydence, Mia, Greylynn, Bentley, Carter, and Robert. She is survived by many other family members, including her sister-in-law Annette Harrison, her oldest nephew Llyod Sweeney, and beloved lifelong friends, Larry Elliott, Skip Elliott, and Faith Nelson. She also kept a deep love for her stepchildren Ryan, Robyn, and Mikie. She loved her family very much, and she delighted in every moment spent with them.

Susan was predeceased in death by her dear sister, Julie Lambert, and her beloved nephew, Shaun Sweeney. Their memories lived on in her heart.

In honor of Susan's lifelong love for animals, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the local animal shelter. Any contribution will help continue the compassion and kindness she shared with the animals she loved so dearly.

The family is profoundly grateful to the dedicated staff at Lourdes Hospital for their excellent care and support during Susan's final days. Their compassion and professionalism provided such comfort and peace to Susan and her loved ones.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Susan's life, honoring her wishes for an intimate gathering of family and close friends.

Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr is handling the arrangements.
