Tommy Ray Bailey

Tommy Ray Bailey, age 70 of Marshall County, passed away July 11, 2022 at Mercy Health Paducah.

He was born on June 3, 1952 to his late parents, Jack and Violet VanHorn Bailey. Tommy was a mechanic and was known for building racing motors, drag racing, and tractor pulling. He retired from Draffens in Calvert City and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy Ramey Bailey; two step-sons, Johnny Whisman of Hardin, Scotty Whisman of Reidland; two sisters, Donna Lee Cardwell of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Charlotte Mae Sharopshire of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Thomas Whisman, Jack Walker, Gage Walker, Brandon Walker, Randall Walker, Hunter Walker, Ellie Rose Whisman; two great-grandchildren, Axle and Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his step-daughter, Brandy Lynn Walker; two brothers, Roger Bailey and David Bailey.

Services will be scheduled at a later date. Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner and Orr is in charge of arrangements.
