It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Karen Ann Vaughn, who left this world peacefully on December 4, 2025.
Born on August 10, 1957, Karen lived a life of compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her greatest joy was her family and her dog Penny. She had a lifelong love of music and found peace and happiness in singing and playing the guitar.
Karen is survived by her three loving children: Daniel Vaughn, Lorie Vaughn, and Kimberly Stice. She is preceded in death by her son, William Stice, who passed away in 2014, and whose memory she cherished every day. Karen is also survived by her sisters, Janice Jones and Kay Hayden, whose bond with her was lifelong and unbreakable. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her loving partner of 18 years, Billy Joe Stacey, brother Mark Logsdon and sister Diana Logsdon. She was the daughter of the late William Logsdon and Charlene Clapp Mathis (Robert Mathis).
Though she is no longer with us in body, her melody lives on and her love remains a permanent and cherished part of our lives.
A graveside service to honor Karen’s life will be held at a later date, surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.
