Sherry McWilliams Fares, 78, passed away peacefully at home in Grand Rivers, KY on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
She was born on March 3, 1947, in Marion, KY to Jack and Billie June McWilliams and was raised in Princeton, IN prior to attending Murray State University. Sherry was a resident of Grand Rivers for more than 25 years and enjoyed spending time in nature with family, friends and her pets.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jack Fares, of Grand Rivers, KY; a daughter, Kendra McWilliams of Newburgh, IN; a granddaughter, Tyra S. McWilliams of Grand Rivers, KY; and a brother, Les S. McWilliams (Laurie) of Gilbertsville, KY. She is also survived by her stepson, Erik Fares (Kristin) and stepdaughter, Elizabeth Nondorf (Kyle) along with her step grandchildren, Madeline, David and Lottie Fares, Catherine O’Brien and Beckett Nondorf, all of Oklahoma City, OK along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Billy June (Hill) McWilliams.
A private service will be held at a later date.
