Steven Kent Carter

Steven Kent Carter, 73, of Benton passed away at 2:15 AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his residence.
 
Mr. Carter was a Laborer at the Local 1214 Labor Hall, of the Christian faith and Owner of Carter Auto Sales.
 
He is survived by the love of his life, Betty E. (Hatler) Carter of Benton; one son, Brent (Diane) Carter of Knoxville, TN; four daughters, Stephanie (Scott) Woodall of Greenbrier, TN, Deanna (Steve) Evans of Gilbertsville, Betsy Lockett of Calvert City, Bethany (Dusty) Luking of Lawrenceville, IL; brother, Phillip Carter of Paducah; lifelong friend, Jimmy Boone of Paducah; 10 grandchildren, Alexis Ransom, Casey Woodall, MaKenzie Woodall, Alex Carter, Allen Wallace, Hannah (Mason) Bucklin, Derek Lockett, Matthew Fondaw, Tanner (Lea) Evans, Madison Evans; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruth (Driver) Carter.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
