Terry Wayne Cobb was born on September 18, 1949, in Smithland, Kentucky. He was a loving father, a proud Marine, a retired mechanic, and someone who was known and loved by so many people in his community.
If you knew Terry, you knew he was a jack of all trades. There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix or figure out. He spent his life working as a mechanic and using his many skills to help others. He was a familiar face in the community, and it seemed like everybody knew him. He was the kind of person who left an impression on the people he met, and he will be missed by so many who had the privilege of knowing him.
Anyone who knew Terry also knew how much he loved his dogs, Archie and Bennett and all the times they spent driving around Smithland together. They were a special part of his life and brought him so much happiness.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Cobb, who was the love of his life, and his parents, Cora “Lucy” Ledbetter and Blanton “Dab” Cobb. The love he shared with Dorothy will always be a special part of his story.
He leaves behind his children, Terry Cobb II, Amy Cobb, and Tiffany Cobb; his sister, Anna Gail Taylor; and many other family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Terry lived a life that touched more people than he probably ever realized. He will be remembered for his many talents, his service as a Marine, his love for his family and his dogs, and the place he held in the hearts of so many people in Smithland and beyond.
He was loved by many, and his memory will live on through the people who knew him, the stories they share, and the memories they will carry with them forever. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
There will be no service or visitation.
