William "Mat" Reed Brown

William Reed “Mat” Brown, 78, of Paducah passed away at 4:15 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.
 
Mr. Brown was a Route Salesman, Veteran of the Army during the Vietnam War, avid UK Basketball fan and he was of the Baptist faith.
 
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Brown of Paducah; one daughter, Stacy Brown of Paducah; two brothers, Freddy Wallace of Paducah, Gary Wallace of Paducah; one sister, Gail Gilbert of Paducah; several nieces and nephews; including one special niece, Amber Worthen.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Patricia Wallace, Ernestine Hatcher; one brother, Ricky Wallace.
 
Graveside services will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia with Pastor Boogie Butler officiating. Burial with Military Honors to follow.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah.
