Carolyn Gail Bebber

Mrs. Carolyn Gail Bebber, 74 of Murray, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House from a short illness.
Carolyn was born on February 4, 1952 in Murray, KY to the late Eugene and Jean Lockhart Smith.  She retired from Murray State University Food Service after many years of dedicated service.
An avid reader and passionate cook, she loved sharing meals and stories with her family. Known affectionately as “Grandmama,” she always put others before herself and cherished time spent with her family.  Even in retirement, she stayed connected to her Murray State friends, organizing monthly luncheons every first Monday—a tradition she treasured for fellowship and friendship.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ricky and Danny Smith, as well as, a nephew, Jason Smith.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her husband of 30 years, Mr. Harold Bebber of Murray; her daughters, Takina Bomar (Brian Maynard) of Murray, Ashley Crick (Darren) of Dexter, Wendy Watters (Ben) of Murray; a brother, Jerry Smith of Murray and four beloved grandchildren, Makinlee Watters (fiancé, Drew Galloway) of Mary Esther, FL, Averie Crick, of  Dexter, Corbin Watters of Murray and Logan Crick of Dexter.  She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved dearly.
A memorial service is set for 10 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4^th Street, Murray.
