Gary G. Canady

Mr. Gary G. Canady, 72, of Murray, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at his home.  

The youngest of 12 children, Gary was born on August 24, 1952 in Benton, KY to the late Gobel and Nellie Dixon Canady.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Gary was what you'd call a "sports fanatic".  He loved his Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Braves and University of Kentucky Wildcats. What Gary loved most was his beloved family, especially those 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren who called him "papaw".  He was truly loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Preceding him in death is his parents; siblings, Iva Neil, Rosa, Nala Jean, Linda Parker, Max Canady, Claira Burgess.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 42 years, Mrs. Vicky Canady of Murray; his children, Andrew Canady, Jason Canady, Christopher Canady, Shane Canady and Emily Canady; siblings, Verlene Estremera, Katherine Metelsky, Peggy McKinney, Glenda Carroll, Tommy Canady; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
