Gene Dale Bray

Mr. Gene Dale Bray, 83, of Murray, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at his home.

Gene was born on April 18, 1943 in Murray, KY to the late William and Sarah (Smith) Bray.  He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.

He was a graduate of Murray Training School and went on to enjoy a career as a machinist at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant where he retired after many years of service.  Outside of work, he found great joy in pursuing his hobbies. He had a passion for researching his family's genealogy, spending countless hours tracing his family's roots and he was also an avid builder and flyer of model airplanes.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; a daughter, Mary Fischer and a sister, Wanda Scott.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his son, John Bray of Murray; a sister, Lenda Easley of Mayfield and a special cousin, Lottie Sheridan of Murray.  

A graveside service is set for 2 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Sinking Springs Cemetery.
