Stephen Dale Adams

Stephen Dale Adams, 57, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2026, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Stephen was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late Roger Adams and Rhonda Eddings. He worked for many years as a carpenter, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and pride in doing things the right way.

Stephen was a devoted family man who loved deeply and fully. He shared 27 years with his wife, Mary Adams, including 17 years of marriage, and their life together was rooted in love, commitment, and family. Those who knew Stephen knew how much his family meant to him, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.  He enjoyed the outdoors and especially treasured time spent fishing and hunting alongside his father and brothers. Those moments outdoors were among his most cherished memories and reflected the close bond he shared with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Phillip Adams and Chris Adams.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Adams of Benton, Kentucky; his daughters, Samantha Adams of Tennessee, Elizabeth Adams of Calvert City, Kentucky, and Sara Hoover of Benton, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Hailey, Raven, Stephen, Natalyn, Karmic, Bristen, Ben, and Jayden.

The funeral service for Mr. Adams is set for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, 311 North 4th Street, Murray.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the funeral home.
