Kay Graves, age 91 of Kevil, a cherished and devoted homemaker known for her precious, caregiving, and kind nature, passed away on May 16, 2026, at Parkview Nursing Home in Paducah, Kentucky. Born on November 3, 1934, Kay devoted much of her life to her family and community, leaving behind a legacy marked by warmth and dedication.

Throughout her life, Kay worked diligently alongside her husband Bill on their dairy farm, embodying the spirit of hard work and partnership. Her contributions to the family’s livelihood and the farm were integral and deeply valued. Her kindness and nurturing character were felt by all who knew her, making her a precious presence in her family’s life and beyond.

Kay is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Bill Graves, who shared a lifetime of love and commitment with her. They were blessed with an extended family that includes their adopted granddaughter, Meghan Peterson, who brought joy and connection to their lives. Alongside them stands Bonita Smith, a special family friend whose bond with Kay was treasured. In addition, several nieces and nephews cherish her memory and the role she played within the family.

Kay was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Velma Burrus, who raised her with the same values she carried throughout her life. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Colleen Robinson, whose memory remains close to her heart.

A visitation to honor Kay’s life will be held on May 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with funeral services starting at 12:00 p.m. Both events will take place at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home located at 2410 Jackson Street, Paducah, KY 42003 with Bro. Doug Kineman and Bro. Elec Whited officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Providence-Needmore Cemetery in Kevil, KY.  These gatherings provide an opportunity for family, friends, and members of the community to pay their respects and celebrate Kay’s life and enduring spirit.

Kay Graves will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her dedication to family, and the quiet strength she exhibited throughout her years. Her legacy endures in the hearts of those who knew her, a testament to a life lived with love and grace.
