Aleta Greayer, 73 of Mayfield, passed away peacefully on Monday March 16, 2026 at her home. A woman whose laughter filled every room and whose kindness touched every heart.
Born on April 5, 1952 in New Brunswick, NJ, Aleta had a gift for making people feel at home. Her smile could turn even an ordinary moment into something special. She cherished time with her loved ones, finding joy in shared laughter, stories, and the simple comfort of being together. Proud of her Irish heritage, Aleta celebrated it through music, humor, and traditions that strengthened her family’s sense of connection and joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Tara Elder, Gretchen (Mark) Hayden, and Erin (Daniel) Holmes; her brothers, Bruce Greayer and Eric (Karen) Greayer; grandchildren Bailey Elder, Baker Elder, Garrett Wilson, Madelyn, Wilson, Kelsey Wilson, Hazel Holmes, Clara Holmes, and Selena Holmes; and great-granddaughter Penelope Barks. They will all carry her love and spirit forward in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Bruce and Alice Patricia Greayer
