Alta Geraldine Dickerson, 83, of Paducah passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab.
She was born in Carrsville, KY, July 9, 1943 to Bruce and Vadah Belt. She was the youngest of eight children.
She enjoyed fishing, traveling to Nashville and Branson to attend concerts, and watching St. Louis Cardinal games. She was a talented cook and proudly served as the head cook at King’s Table. She had a caring heart and found great joy in helping and caring for the elderly. She was of the Baptist faith. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Geraldine was survived by her three children, Tammie Sanders, Robert Sanders, and Penney (Mike) Theurer; step daughter, Ann (Mark) Quinn; three grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Stone, Michael (Chelsey) Theurer, and Jared (Trixie) Sanders; two step grand children, Shelly Poindexter and Shara Felix; four great grandchildren, Jonathan and Mason Hernandez, Corbin Stone, and Michael J. Theurer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Dickerson; son, Ricky Sanders; her parents; step son. Dan Dickerson; four sisters, Melva Moreland, Laverene Benoit, Maxine Odom, Louise Moore,; and three brothers, Paul G Lawless, Deward Lawless, and Aubrey Lawless.
Friends may visit the family from 11:00am-1:00pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Lindsey Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Rev. Kristie Stuckel officiating.
