Barbara Jean Quinn Green Barbara Green, 68, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, July 30, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. Born in São Paulo, Brazil June 14, 1957, to Thomas O. Quinn and Anna L. Schwimmer Quinn. Barb moved to Valparaiso, Indiana, at a young age before settling in Smithland, Kentucky. A proud graduate of Livingston County High School, she later dedicated many years of service to her community through her work at the Smithland and Ledbetter Water Departments before retiring, where many of you knew her for her dependability and welcoming smile. Barb was also a devoted Catholic with so much love for our glorious Lord. In the early 2000s, Barb made her home in Calvert City with her beloved fiancé, the late David Roberts. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, so much fun and a deep connection to family and friends. Barb was uniquely creative and an artistic soul, with a love for music and for decorating that made every space she touched feel special. She had a great appreciation for the beach, where she felt most at peace. She loved people and had a way with making them feel special. To her grandchildren and close friends, Barb wasn’t just a Nana or a confidante—she was magical, vibrant, and absolutely out of this world. Her thoughtful surprises, contagious laugh, and big-hearted presence made everyone around her feel loved. Barb is survived by her son, Ryan Green, and her daughter, Erin (Nathan) Brandon. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kaydin Green, Quinn and Oaklinn Brandon, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She also leaves behind her sisters Rosann (Delmar) Lawrence of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Patricia (Joe) Scholl of Calvert City, KY; her brother John (Rhonda) Quinn of Tiline, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will fondly remember her generous spirit, her gentle presence, and the unwavering love she shared with all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas O. and Anna L. Quinn; her sister, Marsha Clifford Klocke; and her fiancé, David S. Roberts. Their memories remain forever in the hearts of those who loved them. Barb’s life was marked by deep devotion to her family, quiet resilience, and a heart that welcomed everyone. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Visitation will be held August 9, at Lindsey Funeral Home from 10am-12pm. Funeral will be held immediately following with Burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
