Charles “Charlie” Weatherford, 70, of Benton, KY, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on May 24, 2026, at Mercy Health Hospice Center.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jessica Weatherford; his daughters, Amy (Eddie) Furr of Benton, KY and Hollie (Raymond) Ellmann of Wisconsin; and the apple of his eye his grandson, Gavin Furr.
He is also survived by five siblings, Danny (Debbie) Weatherford, Gerry (Janet) Weatherford, Dale (Tina) Weatherford, Linda Weatherford and Peggy Ringstaff; brother-in-law, Roger (Vebbie) Griffith; sister-in-law, Donna (Russell) Thompson; brother-in-law, Todd (Sarah) Griffith; sister-in-law, Pam (Steven) Owen; as well as several nieces and nephews and on very special one on the way; and several neighbors that are more like extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Doris Weatherford; his sisters Patricia Allcock, Lori Cole, and Alice Weatherford; brothers-in-law, Howard Allock and Brady Ringstaff; and a great nephew, William (Liam) Finley.
He retired from VMV in Paducah as a retired locomotive mechanic. He was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he drove the church van for many years, he was an elder at the church and did the church nursery for several years where he loved all the babies.
The Weatherford family would like to thank the hospice care team that took such wonderful care of him during his illness.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2025, at 10:00am with Rev. Timmy Threatt at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
