Jason Dewayne Kent 12-16-1977 to 2-18-2026. Matthew 12:50… “For whoever dose the will of my Father in Heaven is my sister, brother, and mother” Jason passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His life was a testament to faith, redemption and perseverance. He proudly counted himself among the small percentage who have overcame meth addiction and never looked back- a true measure of strength, faith and determination. He became a productive member of his community and mentored other men who were struggling with their own battles with addiction.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Jean McElrath of Paducah, three brothers, Tony Kent, and Bradley Boulton both of Paducah and Michael Walker of Mayfield. Two sisters, Heather Warner of Pennsylvania, and Stephanie Chapman of Missouri. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins from all over that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Andrew Kent, one nephew, Austin Darius Kent, his step- mother and father, Theresa Jean Riley, and Thomas Arthur Kent Jr both of Paducah, his grandparents, Mary Elizabeth and Jack Eugene McElrath also of Paducah, and Mary Louise and Thomas Arthur Kent Sr from Paducah as well. Though he will be greatly missed, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace and in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
