Jeffery Barnes Capps

Jeffery Barnes Capps, 65 of Benton KY, passed away Friday November 14th, 2025, at Marshall County Hospital. Jeff was born in Paducah, KY to Jerry R and Bettie Barnes Capps. To some he was known as “SUPERMAN”, the role he portrayed for the city of Metropolis Superman Celebration, while a resident there in the 1990s. Jeff survives by his daughter Jessica Park (Trey) of Benton, KY son Cody Capps (Shelbi Nelson) of Hardin, KY. Six granddaughters, Taylen Park (Nathan), Layton Darnall, McCaylin (Austin, Rylan Darnall, Rhenlee Park. Brother, Jim Capps (Kendra), nephews Josh Capps and Joel Barrett. Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Seaford Capps, parents Jerry and Bettie Capps, paternal grandparents Omer and Amy Capps, maternal grandparents James Hollie and Lucy Barnes. The family will have a private memorial service at a later time. Jeffery asked to be cremated with services to be held later.
