John H. Fiser, 83, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
John was a hardworking man whose life was built on dedication, loyalty, and love for those around him. He began working at a young age as a butcher for A&P Grocery, learning early the value of hard work and responsibility. He later began a long and respected career with GAF-ISP Chemicals, where he worked faithfully for 40 years before retiring.
Beyond his work, John embraced life with a passion for family, adventure, and simple joys. He loved fishing in his younger years and enjoyed the excitement of dirt late model racing with his family. John and his beloved wife, Bonnie, shared a love for travel and created treasured memories together during six trips to Hawaii, along with adventures to Alaska and many other places. He also found great happiness working with wood in his shop, where his craftsmanship and creativity reflected the care, he put into everything, he did.
Above all else, John was devoted to his family. He shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Bonnie (Lawrence) Fiser. Together they built a strong and loving family that became the center of his world.
John is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Fiser; three sons, Brent (Charisa) Fiser, Bruce (Shannon) Fiser, and Jonathan (Kerrie) Fiser; five grandchildren, Olivia (Miles) Martin, Zach Fiser, Lane Fiser, Ben Fiser, and Kalyn Fiser; one great-grandchild, Lake Martin; and one sister, Gwen Fiser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Woody Fiser.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Clarks River Cemetery.
John will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quiet kindness, his love for family, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
