Kenneth E Neal, 72, of Calvert City, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his residence.
Mr. Neal had a lifelong passion for music and loved to read. A self-taught musician, he enjoyed both playing music and sharing his talents by teaching others to play.
He was also a talented handyman for himself, family and anyone who needed him. In his spare time, he loved to draw, especially anything Celtic due to his Irish heritage, and even designed his own tattoos.
In retirement, Mr. Neal enjoyed his “retired guy” hours playing video games and was lovingly known as the video game-playing “Pops.” He never met a stranger and seemed to make friends everywhere he went.
Mr. Neal is survived by his three daughters, Shannan Knapp, LeAnne Wieber, and Lindsay Neal; seven grandchildren, Tylar Knapp, Madison Forred, Jonathan Knapp, Jase Peterson, Briley Baize, Delaney Baize, and Hudson Baize; a really good friend, Charlene Smith; seven siblings, Patricia Swinford, Lillian Chapman, Noreen Patton, Mary Neal, Kathleen Erickson, Rita Neal, and Kevin Neal; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dolores Neal; and two siblings, Joseph Neal and Jean Stevenson.
A family memorial service will be held privately at a later date.
