Kevin Lee Harper, 52, of Paducah passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Aperion Care Hanover in Hanover, Indiana. He was born on February 9, 1974, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY, to Michael and Cherry Harper.
Kevin graduated from Reidland High School in 1992, where he enjoyed playing basketball. He attended Murray state University for two years. He joined the Pipefitters Union and completed the five-year apprenticeship program. He took a job with Progress Rail in Mayfield and worked there for seven years, where he ended his career.
Kevin enjoyed traveling with his family, camping, going to St. Louis Cardinals baseball and UK basketball games.
Kevin was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Michael and Cherry Harper of Paducah, KY; his brother, Brian Harper and wife, Deanna, of Calvert City, KY; his son, William Harper of Paducah, KY; his daughters, Caitlyn Harper and Kendall Harper of Frankfort, KY; his niece, Mackenzie Wilson and husband, Johnathan, of Benton, KY; and his nephew, Weston Harper and wife, Kate of Paducah, KY.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Aperion Care Hanover for the extraordinary care they have provided over the last four years and the hospice staff for their kindness and compassion over the last couple of weeks.
Visitation will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, KY. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with the Rev. Larry Fraser officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
