Larry Dean Dickson

Larry Dickson, 78, of West Paducah passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah. 

Larry retired from advertising sales. He also worked security at McCracken County Court House and volunteered for the McCracken County Department of Emergency Services (DES). He attended Faith Center where he served on the medical team and was a greeter. 

He was the kind of person who always put others before himself. He loved Jesus and every single person he encountered.  He had an amazing ability to talk and connect with everyone. He also excelled at taking time to listen. His warmth and kindness made everyone feel at home. 

Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Gwen Dickson of West Paducah; three children, Leanne (Patrick) Vanderbur, Michael (Mandy) McDonough, Robert (Nicole) Dickson; two siblings, Nancy (Russell) Rickenbaugh and Gene (Martha) Dickson; sister-in-law, Alice Dickson; five grandchildren, Evan, Olivia, Larae, Gavin, Trinity; and two great-grandchildren, Harper and Haisley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Virginia Dickson; and two brothers, Tommy Dickson and Jim Dickson. 

Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at McKendree Church Cemetery with Bill Harris officiating. Burial will follow.
